Irene Blasco is an award-winning illustrator, designer, and visual artist based in Spain, known for her ability to translate complex concepts into vibrant, narrative, and high-impact visual statements.
With over twenty years of professional experience, her expertise seamlessly bridges two demanding fields: large-scale advertising campaigns and premium editorial illustration. Her portfolio features major public and cultural landmarks, including the Madrid 2019 Christmas Campaign, the May 2nd 2021 festivities, the cover for the 2020 Nadal Prize or her awarded illustration for LIBER BOOK FAIR 21.
Her work in children’s literature has also earned international acclaim, receiving a Mention at the prestigious Bologna Ragazzi Digital Awards.
Rather than confining herself to a single niche, Irene commands a fluid, contemporary visual language unified by her masterful use of color and expressive, character-driven storytelling. Her methodology balances creative intuition with strict technical execution, ensuring her artwork transitions flawlessly from a 60-foot urban billboard to the intimate cover of a novel.
From her independent studio, she partners with international publishing houses, advertising agencies, and press media, delivering striking aesthetics backed by solid conceptual thinking.
Irene Blasco is an illustrator, designer and painter based in Valencia (Spain) from where she develops editorial and advertising projects both nationally and internationally.
Her illustrations for advertising has been frequently seen in Madrid, where her images have served to promote the San Anton Market and have been the central theme of the Madrid 2019 Christmas Campaign, the May 2nd 2021 festivities and the recent campaign of Mental Health Spain.
In the editorial field, she has illustrate the cover for the 2020 Nadal Prize,’El mapa de los afectos’ by Ana Merino .
She regularly makes illustrations for various media.
She has been recognized, among others, with the recent Liber 2021 Illustration Award and with a Mention in the prestigious Bologna Ragazzi Digital Award with her app version of Rita, the lizard,
Taking an intuitive approach, she works generally with digital techniques in a versatile style in which her use of colour stands out.
She loves photography and since 2010 she also teaches art workshops .
